Although Lucy has been widely criticized for her work in the film, we can look at it with fresh eyes with the new DVD coming this summer. If one can overlook the fact the Lucy simply has no business singing the songs, as the joke on “I Love Lucy” always was that she couldn’t carry a tune to save her life, I think this is something to cheer about. To see Bea reprising her Broadway role will be worth it alone.
