"Judy and Bea: Two Dorothy's reunited...for the 1st time! Starring the Gender Illusionist team of Peter Mac and John Schaefer (a couple in real life) take to the stage as the legendary rainbow diva and as the loveable golden girl. In this new musical cabaret show Garland and Arthur regale audiences with songs and stories of their days on stage and screen...or in Ms. Arthur's case...TV Land. You'll hear signature songs such as "Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart" and "The Man In The Moon".
As well as a bevy of musical surprises.
Mr. Mac first took to the stage as Garland in his autobiographical play
Judy and Me. Schaefer filled Arthur's sizeable shoes in the smash hit,
The Golden Girls: LIVE!. Though never having once worked, met, or spent
any time together...Garland and Arthur prove to be true Bosom Buddies!
This show is a "must see" for any true "friend of Dorothy's".
Judy and Bea opens at Helens Hideaway Room located at 169 8th Avenue in
New York City) on February 25th at 11:30pm. It will then play every subsequent
Friday at the same time through April 15th. Reservations for The Helen's
are taken from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., daily at (212) 206-0609.

"Peter Mac's Judy Garland is not merely impersonation; it is a knowing and affectionate portrayal of the woman and the artist, a Judy that is both funny and touching." ~

Schaefer plays so deftly that if you are sitting in the back of the room,
you may just believe that the previously-incomparable Bea Arthur herself
is on stage. - Uproar

"'Judy and Bea'is another testament to the love these boys have for their Divas
and for doing their share to help out a good cause! This recent love letter to
their favorite ladies, leaves audience members laughing and cheering! Razor sharp
comedy and hilarious impersonations all add up to a great evening of diva worship
and cabaret kookiness at it's best! "
~ Scott Nevins, Show Host and Actor
"Recently, I had the pleasure of catching a cabaret show in New York City at Helen's Hideaway. It's called 'Judy & Bea.'
It stars Peter Mac as Judy Garland and John Schaefer as Bea Arthur. It's a delightful
way to spend a Friday night! Peter and John are marvelous together, bantering
back and forth and singing up a storm. If you're in New York City, don't miss
this wonderful show."
~ Mickey Greene, Nationally Syndicated Gossip Columnist
"A jolly good time. The stars' freewheeling ad libs add to the evening's infectious
spirit of fun."
~ "Roy Sander, critic and columnist".
" The genuine affection Peter and John have for their "characters" shines through
every moment of the show...and is surpassed only by the obvious knowledge and
passion they share for the glories of classic Broadway/Hollywood entertainment
and show music. That passion is contagious -- and the fortunate audience is the
beneficiary."
