Canon HF100, see my wrinkles

Posted by: admin In: Uncategorized

You got to love yourself first right? Well, that being said, I bought myself a gift for my 23rd… ooops, 33rd, birthday and nobody can do anything about it :) I do feel the love now, I do. Thanks Kevin, you are the best!

So I don’t have a high def flat screen, nor do I have a Blu-Ray player… but what I do have is the fever for quality. The Canon HF100 called to me to fulfill this fever… and from what I can tell so far, it is doing just that. Yet, at the same time remaining super small and compact which allows me to take it everywhere versus the lovely large clunky very sweet HD cameras that we are used to.

All future LimeBlogs will now be in horribly satisfying clarity and brilliance (more then usual)… so do look forward to that. Hopefully will have something new within the week, but first I must play and test and play… but not rewind, because there is no tape! Just a cute little memory card.

Unfortunately, there are consequences that come along with the goods. A) I’m older B) you will be able to see that much better the grays in my chin hair and recently debuting wrinkles around my eyes. But, that gives a guy his substance right? Well, screw it, it’s not going to stop me… ish.

In the meantime, enjoy nothing but random crap that still looks good below!

Thanks again Kevin… I do… love you!

Sad news today… very sad… the passing of Bea Arthur’s TV mom, Estelle Getty ::

Sadly, today July 22, 2008 at 5:35 a.m. Pacific Time, we said our last good-byes to our little friend Estelle, who passed away and made her journey to the great beyond. Although it was a trip that she never wanted to take, she went gracefully, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family and her very loving care-givers.

Estelle’s legacy will live on and on through the comedy and laughter she gave to us all, which will forever keep us laughing out loud.

On The Porch

Posted by: admin In: Uncategorized

Hello LimeAnalog fans… well whatever you are. So, I haven’t posted in a bit on here, though I really am still excited to utilize LimeAnalog more for text and photo entries. I’ve been consistent with my every other Thursday releases of video blogs on the LimeBlog.tv (though will be late this week), so I want to be sure to be consistent with LimeAnalog, as well!

I pulled out a crap of a chair onto my porch so I can feel inspired. Instead, I feel hot, humid and squinty eyed, as its summer sunny bright ass out today. It’s not really a complaint… well ok, I have two complaints… the laptop is burning my legs and I realize that I only get an hour of fully charged battery usage these days. Have to save up again for another battery. MacBookPro batteries are like $120+/-… ewww. I just had to buy new iPhone headphones because I must be deaf, so I blew the right speaker out. Another $30 I wasn’t planning on… but as my dad always says… “that’s part of the hobby”.

Anywho, I’ve been utilizing Twitter much more these days, so if I’m not posting a LimeAnalog entry, I’m always updating at least one a day to my Twitter. Sometimes important things, sometimes lyrics to a song that I’m listening to because it is relevant to my mood or how I’m feeling and sometimes just things that make no sense to keep you guessing on what is wrong with my mental being. I use a service called Ping.fm to create my posts. This simultaneously posts to Twitter, Facebook and MySpace status, as well as, to many many other social networking accounts that I am on… which is way too many… but again, part of the hobby for me. I’ve also been utilizing my iPhone to the 100th degree. I sometimes use BrightKite, which announces where I am for my fellow stalkers. But, I announce where I am usually as I am leaving to prevent overwhelming fandom stalker super freaks from trying to kiss my hand in public doorways.

Finally, this year has been a crazy year so far and its only going to get crazier. One of the main things going on with me is that this year, in October, will be the 10th year of living in Chicago. I can’t help but notice major coincidences that are coinciding with this event. People that I met when I first moved here and then have drifted away over the years have resurfaced back into my life. I welcome this with open arms. Meanwhile, comforts that I have had over the past 10 years are or will be dissipating… mostly because of my own decision making, yet necessary for me to move forward in life, but still causes me to be more vulnerable and insecure feeling at times. I will be ok though, just rough sometimes. I’ve been putting a lot of energy into my friends, which is something I do want to do, but can often backfire on me as I slip up from my own energy supply to myself. Something I am also working out… finding that correct balance. I fail, I succeed, I fail, I succeed. I guess it may balance out after all.

Ok, that is enough for now. I need to work on my video blog, yet still a day before it’s due, I have no clue on what I feeling like doing, though I have tons of materials to work from. So stay tuned even if it is a tad late.

Until we meet for the first time… another reinvention of myself…

Kev!

P.S. I had to move off of the porch, because of all days they are spraying the porches down and the mist is coming right over on to me and my beloved MacBookPro and iPhone by Apple… the super company run by god himself, Steve Jobs… </clears throat>

Artist profile :: my mom

Posted by: admin In: Uncategorized

Without getting into the situation of my mom’s life and living situation, I wanted to share how proud I am of her and her revived interest in the arts! It’s nice to see her excited again doing something that she enjoys. It’s easy, as we all know, to get sucked into the life of watching tv and letting the hours fly by. So, there is nothing better then some brain exercises and the creative exercises are always my favorite and the one I tend to encourage on others. Unfortunately, this has made me realize that I haven’t picked up the paint brush myself in quite sometime. Hopefully, this will, in return, push me to get more creative again outside of the digital realm. Good job mom!

Until next time!

Kev!
