Yes, I listened to the entire thing…
The hook was your passion for this new medium. You explained by the PODCAST made sense to you… and you’re right… it allows for providing more lengthy content… based on the present limitations that surround us.
I have no idea where the ping came from… I’m not an album person anymore… I was back in the late 60′s and early 70′s.
Congratulations on your first true podcast take…
Say, what kind of microphone/recording system did you end up with? I really need something of high quality that would work with an ipod. Any ideas?
Have a great month!

Thanks for listening! I’m shocked, heheh! The next one will hopefully be better! To give more hints to the trivia question besides ‘album’, it was from a album released in 1971 and the track that it is from is 23 minutes and 28 seconds long! Thanks for the comments! Also, to answer your question I used a Radio Shack headset, plugged into the iMic USB module from Griffin Technologies, then record it directly to Quicktime 7 Pro using their new audio record feature.

Hello Kevin.
I listened to the entire ‘cast and enjoyed it very much. Yours is the first full-fledged “amateur” podcast I’ve listened to and it was great. I came across it because of my interest in Bea Arthur (LOVE HER!). It’s scary, that besides Bea, we have a lot in common – namely: men, HE-MAN, Thundercats, and my growing interest in all things Apple (thanks to the iPod). I currently have a Dell Dimension 4700, which I purchased a few months back, but am considering purchasing an iBook or PowerBook – what do you think?
Again, cool sophomore outing.

Kev -
Yup, I listened to the whole thing. Although, honestly, I didn’t expect to when I saw the length come up in real player
But, you kept me listening the whole time! Well done.
Although I have an audio feed on my site, I haven’t actually subscribed to any podcasts, myself – I don’t have an iPod (lets see if I get out of the mac store from the videoblogger thing without one).
So far all of my audio blogs have been only a few minutes each – for good reason given the gimmick they are playing off of – but your blog has tought me that podcasts can be alot longer and still keep people’s interest. Maybe I’ll have to come up with another Audio feature.
I kinda feel the same way about blogs/vlogs/podcasts as you do … I feel like I’ve been doing this stuff alot longer than maybe I really have.
I’ve had a personal website since 1994 … I’ve done alot of experiments in that time, and now coming back to audio and video as if it’s some new thing feels … well like I’d given up on a great idea years ago and am now just coming back to it.
But here we are now in the days of RSS feeds, and aggrigators, and iPods, and what not … and it’s exciting all over again.
I guess “RSS feeds, and aggrigators, and iPods, and what not” are the evolution of the little tape recorders kids used to use to make radio shows.
(I did that too as a kid.)
