Can You See Me Now?
| Had fun this weekend participating in a technological experiment that took place in Chicago. Some peeps from Europe came to Chicago to show us there toys at the Museum of Contemporary Arts. Equipped with GPS units, PDAs and walkie talkies, 6 runners combed a part of Chicago, finding virtual people, who were playing online from their computers around the world. I didn’t get a chance to go downtown to see them in person, but still had fun letting them catch me… virtually. Check out this video blog explaining how it worked and also visit their web site for more info and the pictures they took! www.canyouseemenow.co.uk/chicago | |

I wonder how long it will be before we will be allowed to control robots from our home computers that run errands or perform tasks small tasks, like grocery shopping, or taking out the trash?! It would also give a whole new world of opportunity for disabled people. A GPS, wifi, Google earth, real time streaming image combo in some sort of a mobile remote controlled vehicle…I love the future.
