I too am fascinated with tall buildings, having grown up in a small town in Wisconsin. I haven’t really had a problem worrying about them falling down, but I do have an unhealthy fear of flying and I think it’s mostly because I constantly picture what it would be like if the engines just shut off and the plane fell, or a wing came off and we just spun and spun to the ground. (that was an unnecessarily long run on sentence). Anyway, as far as the construction, I think I heard somewhere that buildings are very wide and heavy underground and that’s what helps keep them standing. Hope that little tidbit helps.

Yes, well flying is a whole other issue with me, I’ll save that for another video blog, haha. Gosh, I have some issues huh! Anyway, ironically I was just thinking, as I was looking at these building again during a walk, that something I was forgetting about was how far down they dig when building. I forget that is also part of the overall design of stability which does make thing a little more logical. That being said, some still look like they can easily snap off at the bottom! Thanks for your comments!
